    Publishing an event: what happens and who is told

    Publishing a free event makes it live immediately: it appears in the Events tab and on your profile, followers who opted in are notified, and the venue is placed on the map. Submitting an external listing puts it into review first; it appears once the team approves it, usually within a day. Share the event page or a branded story card straight after.

    Free event on TiketCaribbean

    1. 1You tap Publish on the review step. The event status becomes Published.
    2. 2It appears in the Events tab, on Home rails where relevant, and on your organiser profile within moments.
    3. 3Followers who have Organiser announcements switched on receive a notification that you published.
    4. 4The venue address is geocoded in the background and a pin appears on the map view. See Event locations.
    5. 5Attendees can claim free tickets straight away and appear in your attendee list.

    External listing

    1. 1You tap Publish on Review & publish. Status becomes In review.
    2. 2The team checks accuracy, Caribbean relevance and that the ticket link works. This usually takes less than a day.
    3. 3You get a notification when it is Live, or a reason if Rejected so you can fix and resubmit.
    4. 4Live listings show on the Events tab and on your profile, with a Get tickets button that opens your ticket page.

    Sharing after publishing

    Open the event and tap Share. You can copy the link, share to WhatsApp, Messages and other apps, or post a branded 9:16 story card to Instagram Stories. External and Word of Mouth links are worded so they never promise tickets on TiketCaribbean. Your organiser profile link (tiketcaribbean.com/organisers/your-slug) is shareable too.

    Where is my free event on the website?

    During the beta, event pages for free events hosted on TiketCaribbean open in the mobile app. Website visitors who follow the link are sent to Browse Events. External listings have full pages on both.
