Publishing an event: what happens and who is told

Free or paid event on TiketCaribbean

1. 1You tap Publish on the review step. The event status becomes Published.
2. 2It appears in the Events tab, on Home rails where relevant, and on your organiser profile within moments, unless you made it private (below).
3. 3Followers who have Organiser announcements switched on receive a notification that you published.
4. 4The venue address is geocoded in the background and a pin appears on the map view. See Event locations.
5. 5Attendees can get free tickets, or buy paid tickets, straight away and appear in your attendee list.

External listing

1. 1You tap Publish on Review & publish. Status becomes In review.
2. 2The team checks accuracy, Caribbean relevance and that the ticket link works. This usually takes less than a day.
3. 3You get a notification when it is Live, or a reason if Rejected so you can fix and resubmit.
4. 4Live listings show on the Events tab and on your profile, with a Get tickets button that opens your ticket page.

Sharing after publishing

When you publish a free or paid event in the app, the next screen says Your event is live and offers two buttons. Share your event opens the share options below. Post it on Wah Happening opens a photo story with your event already linked, so you can post it to the community straight away; organisers with a business profile post without applying. See Creating a post.

Any time after that, open the event and tap Share. You can copy the link, share to WhatsApp, Messages and other apps, or post a branded 9:16 story card to Instagram Stories. External and Word of Mouth links are worded so they never promise tickets on TiketCaribbean. Your organiser profile link (tiketcaribbean.com/organisers/your-slug) is shareable too.
