How do I buy a paid ticket, and what is the booking fee?
Open the event, choose your tickets and enter your name. The order summary shows the ticket subtotal, our 6.5% booking fee (minimum 50p per ticket) as its own line, and the total before you pay. You pay by card or wallet on Stripe's secure page, then your tickets, each with a QR code, appear in My Tickets and by email. Free events have no booking fee.

What is the booking fee?
The booking fee is our fee for the service. It is 6.5% of each ticket's price, with a minimum of 50p per ticket (or a set equivalent in other currencies), added on top of the ticket price and shown as its own line before you pay. There is no booking fee on free or RSVP events. The ticket itself is sold by the organiser; we collect the payment on their behalf.
Whether the booking fee is refunded depends on why a refund is made: it is refunded when the organiser cancels or removes your ticket (in the same proportion as the ticket), when we remove an event, or when we made a mistake, but not for change-of-mind refunds or refunds after a reschedule. See Refunds for paid tickets.
