Community Guidelines
Issued by CaribraConnect Technology Ltd, trading as TiketCaribbean | Last updated: 12th July 2026
1. Introduction
TiketCaribbean is a platform built to celebrate Caribbean culture, events, and community. Our Community Voices feature allows users to contribute photos, videos, and articles that enrich the Caribbean events experience for everyone.
To keep Community Voices a welcoming, inspiring, and safe space for all ages and backgrounds, we have established these Community Guidelines ("Guidelines"). They apply to all content submitted through Community Voices, including photos, videos, and written articles, regardless of format or length.
By submitting content to Community Voices, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Guidelines. TiketCaribbean reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously breach them.
TiketCaribbean accounts are open to users aged 16 and over. Users aged 16 or 17 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service, in accordance with our Terms of Service. Because our community includes users under the age of 18, all Community Voices content must remain appropriate for that audience and must comply with the standards set out in these Guidelines.
2. What We Welcome
Community Voices exists to celebrate Caribbean culture, creativity, and community spirit. We welcome content that:
- Showcases Caribbean events, carnivals, festivals, music, food, and culture
- Shares lived experiences, personal stories, or highlights from events
- Promotes upcoming or past events in a genuine, informative way
- Celebrates diversity, community, and the people of the Caribbean
- Provides useful, accurate information relevant to Caribbean events and culture
- Demonstrates original creativity, artistic expression, or thought leadership within our community
We want Community Voices to reflect the warmth, energy, and vibrancy of the Caribbean. Content that uplifts and inspires will always have a home here.
3. Nudity and Sexual Content
TiketCaribbean celebrates Caribbean culture in all its vibrancy, including beach life, carnival, fashion, and artistic expression. Our guidelines in this area are designed to be clear and reasonable rather than overly restrictive.
What is permitted
- Swimwear, bikinis, beachwear, and similar attire worn in appropriate contexts (for example, at the beach, a pool, or a carnival)
- Carnival and festival costumes, including those that are revealing, where the context is cultural celebration
- Artistic, editorial, or documentary content that depicts the human body in a non-sexual context
- Breastfeeding imagery and post-mastectomy content
- Content depicting nudity in recognised artistic or educational contexts, such as classical artwork or medical illustration
What is not permitted
- Fully exposed genitalia, regardless of gender, in any non-medical or non-artistic context
- Content depicting or simulating sexual acts, whether real, illustrated, or AI-generated
- Content that is sexually explicit or primarily intended to arouse
- Sexual solicitation of any kind, including offers of or requests for sexual services
- Any content that sexualises a person in a demeaning or non-consensual framing, regardless of nudity level
We apply these standards based on context and intent. Content that may appear revealing in isolation may be entirely appropriate given its cultural, artistic, or sporting context. Conversely, content that stops short of nudity may still be removed if it is clearly sexual in intent or framing. TiketCaribbean reserves the right to make these determinations at its discretion.
Content that violates these standards will be removed. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent suspension of Community Voices access.
4. Prohibited Content
The following types of content are not permitted on Community Voices under any circumstances:
Hate Speech and Discrimination
Content that attacks, demeans, or discriminates against any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, caste, or immigration status is prohibited. This includes dehumanising language, harmful stereotypes, and calls for exclusion or violence.
Harassment and Bullying
Content designed to intimidate, humiliate, or target individuals is not permitted. This includes personal attacks, threats, mockery based on personal characteristics, and content intended to incite others to harass a specific person or group (sometimes called "dogpiling"). Critical commentary about public figures discussing matters of public interest is generally permitted, provided it does not cross into personal threats or harassment.
Dangerous or Violent Content
Content that glorifies, promotes, or instructs others to engage in violence, dangerous acts, or self-harm is prohibited. This includes content encouraging dangerous stunts or challenges, glorification of real-world violence or suffering, and content that presents self-harm or suicide in a positive or instructional light. Works that raise awareness about these issues in a sensitive, non-glorifying manner may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Extremism and Dangerous Organisations
Content that promotes, glorifies, or supports terrorist organisations, violent extremist groups, organised hate movements, or criminal enterprises is strictly prohibited. Journalistic, historical, or educational content that references such organisations in a neutral or condemnatory context may be permitted.
Misinformation and Deceptive Content
Content that is deliberately misleading, factually false, or intended to deceive other users is not permitted. This includes fabricated event information, impersonation of other individuals or organisations, and the use of AI-generated or manipulated imagery to misrepresent reality without clear disclosure.
Privacy Violations
Sharing someone else's private or personally identifiable information without their consent, including home addresses, phone numbers, financial details, or private photographs, is prohibited. All people photographed or recorded in submitted content must have had a reasonable expectation that they may be captured in that context (for example, at a public event).
Child Safety
Any content that sexually exploits, endangers, or grooms minors is strictly prohibited. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, content that facilitates access to minors for the purpose of exploitation, and any content that sexualises a person under the age of 18. TiketCaribbean has zero tolerance for violations in this area and will report such content to the relevant authorities.
Illegal Activity
Content that promotes, facilitates, or provides instructions for illegal activities is not permitted. This includes content related to fraud, trafficking, extortion, or any other criminal conduct. Educational, journalistic, or historical content discussing illegal activity in an appropriate context may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Spam and Inauthentic Behaviour
Community Voices is for genuine, original contributions. Content that is purely promotional or commercial in nature, bulk-submitted, artificially generated for engagement, or otherwise inauthentic will be removed. Unsolicited advertising, affiliate marketing, or content designed primarily to drive traffic to external sites is not permitted.
5. Intellectual Property and Originality
By submitting content to Community Voices, you confirm that:
- You own the content you are submitting, or you have obtained all necessary rights, licences, and permissions to share it
- Your submission does not infringe the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
- If your submission features other identifiable individuals, you have obtained any necessary consent to publish their image or likeness on our platform
- You grant TiketCaribbean a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, promote, and share your submission in connection with Community Voices and the TiketCaribbean platform
TiketCaribbean respects intellectual property rights and will respond to valid copyright complaints in accordance with our Trademark & Copyright Policy.
6. AI-Generated and Manipulated Content
AI-generated and digitally manipulated content is permitted on Community Voices, subject to the following conditions:
- Content that is substantially AI-generated or digitally manipulated must be clearly labelled or disclosed as such
- AI-generated content must comply with all other sections of these Guidelines
- Deepfakes (manipulated imagery or audio depicting real people saying or doing things they did not say or do) are prohibited where they are used to deceive, harass, or damage the reputation of the subject
- Satire and parody using AI tools are permitted provided they are clearly disclosed and do not violate other Guidelines
We prohibit AI-generated content that sexualises any person, generates non-consensual intimate imagery, or is used to spread false or misleading information.
7. Reporting Violations
If you come across content on Community Voices that you believe violates these Guidelines, please report it using the in-app reporting tool on the relevant post. Our team reviews all reports and takes action where a violation is confirmed.
For urgent matters, including content that you believe poses a risk to a person's safety, please contact us directly at support@tiketcaribbean.com.
False or malicious reports made in bad faith may themselves result in action being taken against the reporting account.
8. Enforcement and Consequences
TiketCaribbean reserves the right to remove, restrict, or decline to publish any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Guidelines or is otherwise harmful to our community.
Automated Content Screening
To help keep the platform safe, images you upload are automatically screened by a third-party image-analysis service (Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch) for adult, explicit, or violent material before they are published. We deliberately calibrate this screening to respect Caribbean cultural expression: carnival costumes, swimwear, and similar culturally appropriate content are not treated as violations. Where the automated screening flags an image, it is referred to our moderation team for a human decision rather than being removed automatically; only content that is clearly explicit or violent is blocked outright. If you believe an image of yours was wrongly blocked or flagged, you can contact us at support@tiketcaribbean.com.
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, enforcement actions may include:
- Removal of individual pieces of content
- A warning issued to the submitting account
- Temporary suspension of Community Voices posting privileges
- Permanent removal of Community Voices access
- Suspension or termination of the user's TiketCaribbean account
- Referral to relevant authorities where content relates to illegal activity or poses a risk to public safety
We aim to apply these Guidelines consistently and fairly. Where a decision is made to remove content or take action on an account, we will endeavour to notify the user where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
9. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, community standards, or applicable law. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of Community Voices following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
For questions about these Guidelines, please contact us at support@tiketcaribbean.com.
