How do payouts work for paid events?

Payouts run through a Stripe Connect Express account for your business. Each event is settled after it ends and released no earlier than 72 hours after the end. Our team reviews your first payout; later payouts are released automatically within internal limits. Stripe then pays your bank on its own schedule. We currently pay out to the UK, the US, the EU, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Canada.

    Setting up

Open Payouts in the web dashboard and follow the setup. You create a Stripe Express account for your business; Stripe carries out its own identity and bank checks on its pages, and you accept Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. We receive the status of your onboarding and an account identifier, not your documents or bank details.

    Where we can pay out

We can currently pay out to bank accounts in the United Kingdom, the United States, the 27 EU member states, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Canada. The list depends on Stripe and on our own configuration, so it can change. Payouts to Caribbean bank accounts are not available yet.

    When you are paid

    1. 1Your event ends.
    2. 2The event is settled: ticket revenue, less refunds, chargebacks and the platform fee. A settlement is released no earlier than 72 hours after the event ends.
    3. 3For your business's first payout, our team reviews the settlement before it is released. Later payouts are released automatically within internal limits.
    4. 4The money is transferred to your Stripe account, and Stripe pays it to your bank on Stripe's own schedule. We cannot promise an exact arrival date.

    Holds

We can hold a payout while there are open disputes or refund requests, or during a fraud or compliance review. The Payouts page shows where each event is in the process.

Refunds and chargebacks after a payout

    • A refund or chargeback after your event has been paid out becomes a balance owed, recovered from your next payout or payouts.
    • If it is still outstanding after 30 days, we may reverse the original Stripe transfer for that event. We may also write a balance off at our discretion.
    • There is no rolling reserve: we do not hold back part of your payouts against future refunds.
    • The chargeback amount is recovered from you; the card-network dispute fee is paid by us.
