What happens when an event changes or is cancelled?

If an organiser changes the name, date or venue of a published event, ticket holders are notified and the event page updates. If an event is cancelled, the page stays visible with an Event Cancelled label, no new tickets can be claimed, and ticket holders receive a notification. Free tickets have nothing to refund; paid tickets bought on TiketCaribbean are refunded automatically under the event's refund rule; for events sold on other sites, the seller's own refund terms apply.

How will I know something changed?

    • Event changes (name, date, time, venue) go out to everyone holding a ticket through the Event changes notification category, on by default, by push, email and in-app.
    • Favourite alerts cover events you saved but do not hold a ticket for. Switch it on in Settings → Notifications.
    • Organiser announcements are messages the organiser sends to followers and attendees, for example a line-up update.
    • The event page itself always shows the current details, and the Notifications inbox keeps a record.

What happens to my ticket if the event is cancelled?

For a free event on TiketCaribbean, your ticket is no longer valid for entry and the event shows Event Cancelled. There is no payment involved, so nothing needs refunding. For a paid ticket bought on TiketCaribbean, a refund is worked out automatically under the cancellation part of the event's refund rule (in full, including the booking fee, if the organiser recorded no rule), released by our team, and returned to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 working days. For an external listing, TiketCaribbean only carried the link; your purchase and any refund are handled by the site you bought from, under the organiser's policy there.

    About the Refund Policy page

The Refund Policy sets out how refunds work for paid tickets bought on TiketCaribbean, including when the booking fee is refunded. Refunds for paid tickets gives a plain summary.

Can an event be rescheduled instead of cancelled?

Yes. Organisers can change the date and time of a published event. Your ticket stays valid for the new date and you receive an Event changes notification. If the new date does not work for you, a free ticket can simply go unused. For a paid ticket bought on TiketCaribbean, you can instead ask for a refund of the ticket price within 14 days of being told; the booking fee is not refunded.
